When you install IAPP for the first time, you need to ensure that you check with your hosting company that the database you are installing into is PHP4 and not PHP5. The system was written for PHP4 and you may find that either the installation page wont load, or your site if you manage to install it, does not function as it should.

If you have already installed the site and find its not working correctly, this can easily be rectified, if you find your hosting is PHP5, by simply calling your hosting company and asking them to change the tags their end so that their database is PHP4.

If the hosting company states that they canot make any alteration to PHP5 to PHP4, then you will have to find a different hosting company.
